讲的是一条从实验室逃走的鲨鱼,那条鲨鱼很大,男主角会开直升飞机,最后鲨鱼貌似是被男主角在直升飞机杀搞掉的

本片因为拍摄难度巨大，电脑特技复杂而足足准备了四年的时间。拍摄地点就在当年拍摄《泰坦尼克号》的水下摄影棚，片中大部分鲨鱼镜头都是真鲨鱼，而且大多数演员都受过专业潜水训练，全靠动作片名导Renny Harlin使这一切得以实现，并力图超越25年前的巨作《大白鲨》。

一群菁英科学家在设备精良的海底研究中心，进行创世纪的医学研究，没想到他们却改变了自然生态，让一群恶鲨的聪明敏捷。这些隐藏在平静海面下的杀手，正蓄势待发，以报复人类为乐趣……
生化制药厂的老板法兰克林（山缪杰克森饰），是海底研究中心的赞助金主。他提供庞大资金让苏珊麦博士（莎佛朗布洛丝饰）研究抗老年疑呆症的神奇药丸。麦博士与他的研究小组在孤立海中的海底研究中心，以最古老的生物--鲨鱼为实验对象，取其脑中蛋白质，注入人类坏死脑细胞，以完成伟大的医学成就。但法兰克林因为投资失利，预备终结研究中心的经费赞助，这对于成功在望的麦博士而言不啻是一个重大的打击。在努力说服下，法兰克林只好要求尽速看到成果，并且前来研究室目睹他们的成就。这时候暴风雨也正在缓缓的向海底研究中心逼近……
为达到目的，麦博士早已加大鲨鱼的脑容量，以萃取更多脑蛋白，但同时鲨鱼也逐渐变的聪明，并且越来越强壮。但这不为人知的改变只有麦博士和鲨鱼朝夕相处的潜水夫卡特（汤玛斯杰恩饰）察觉。
虽然卡特曾向巩苏珊麦提出警语，但苏珊麦为使得实验正常进行，置之不理。终于，在最后一次的成功实验中，向人类展开致命的报复，求援有直升机在风雨中赶到，却也不幸被聪明的巨鲨袭击，一场不可避免的大灾难于是展开。他们该如何对抗自己创造出来的变种恶鲨，谁又能从这险境中死里逃生？！
